Investing apps are built for other countries. Farwise calculates the way the Agencia Tributaria (the Spanish tax agency) requires and leaves every figure ready to copy into your renta, the annual income tax return.
Modelo 720 is the Spanish return for assets held abroad. Farwise shows what you held at each foreign broker on 31 December, whether you have to file it and the data for the form.
Every sale with its gain worked out correctly, the two-month rule, loss offsetting and the foreign withholding tax you can recover.

You’ve received €248 net from 9 companies. The largest, €61 from Iberdrola in July. You still have €64 to collect before the end of the year.

Every time you buy or sell, Farwise makes the same trade, with the same euros on the same day, in an imaginary MSCI World portfolio. The difference between the two is what you have gained or lost by picking stocks instead of buying the index, with dividends and fees included.
Yes. Modelo 720 is the Spanish informative return for assets held abroad. Farwise works out what you held at each foreign broker on 31 December, tells you whether you are over the €50,000 threshold that makes filing mandatory and gives you the form data: asset code, institution, country and balance. It also helps with the D-6 declaration of investments abroad.
The gross dividend is what the company pays out; the net dividend is what reaches you after withholding taxes: the source country’s and, if your broker is Spanish, the Spanish tax office’s. Farwise shows them net and tells you how much foreign withholding you can recover in your Spanish tax return for double taxation.
No. Data comes in from statements you download yourself, or through the read-only access your broker offers. Farwise cannot move money or trade on your behalf.
Yes: the Free plan never expires and needs no card. It includes the portfolio, full Spanish tax reports, imports and alerts. Pro removes the limits and adds automatic sync and the Warren assistant.
No. Farwise is an information tool, not financial advice. It shows you clearly how your money is doing and what the Spanish tax office asks for; the decisions are yours.
That’s what Farwise means: far, as in looking ahead, and wise, as in sensible. It looks at your money with perspective every day and only tells you what matters.
